Dan's Bagels community in Trophy Club
Trophy Club, TX

Born in Trophy Club

How a home kitchen, a line out the door, and a community that believed in us built DFW's most beloved bagel brand — without a single ad.

Our Community

From Home Kitchen toCommunity Institution

Dan's Bagels didn't grow through marketing. It grew through the front door. When Dan started making bagels in the home kitchen in April 2020, word spread the old-fashioned way: one neighbor told another. Then another. Then another.

By the time we opened our first shop in Trophy Club in August 2021, the line stretched around the block before sunrise. These weren't curious passersby — they were the same neighbors who had been placing pre-orders, spreading the word, and waiting for this moment.

Every location since has followed the same pattern. Not billboards. Not social media campaigns. Just people telling other people about something real. That's the most powerful marketing there is, and it's the only kind we've ever needed.

Community-Powered Recognition

Named to Yelp's Top 10 Bagel Shops in the US & Canada

This was never ours to claim alone. Every Yelp review, every Google star, every friend-tells-a-friend recommendation from this community is what put a little Trophy Club bagel shop on a national map. Featured in the Dallas Observer.

What We Stand For

Our Culture, Our Promise

“We could make and serve the most delicious products in the world; but that alone would mean nothing without a culture that relentlessly serves the customer, the community and its employees.”
— Dan & Jen Hilbert

No Cliques

Everyone is welcome. Every customer is treated like a neighbor, because they are. No VIP lists, no gatekeeping — just great bagels and genuine warmth.

Sincere Kindness

Not the scripted kind. The real kind. The kind where the team remembers your name, your order, and asks about your kids.

Genuine Respect

For every customer who walks through the door. For every employee who shapes a bagel. For every farmer who grows our ingredients. Respect is the foundation.

Zero Tolerance for Hate

This is non-negotiable. Dan's Bagels is a place where everyone belongs. Discrimination of any kind has no place in our shops, our culture, or our community.

Local Roots

Invested in Our Neighbors

Trophy Club Community Events

From block parties to holiday celebrations, Dan's Bagels has been a fixture at community events since day one. We show up because Trophy Club showed up for us.

School & Church Catering

We cater for local schools, churches, and nonprofits — often at cost. These organizations are the backbone of our neighborhoods, and we're proud to feed them.

Local Business Partnerships

We source locally when possible and partner with neighboring businesses. A rising tide lifts all boats, and we believe in building up the communities we serve.

Youth & Family Programs

From sponsoring little league teams to hosting field trips for local preschools, we invest in the next generation of bagel lovers — and community leaders.

The Ritual

The Sellout Culture

We sell out. Every day. And that's not a bug — it's the feature. Selling out daily means every single bagel you eat was made that morning. Not yesterday. Not last week. Not pulled from a freezer.

It means the dough was mixed before dawn, shaped by hand, boiled in malt water, and pulled from the oven while it was still steaming. That's our freshness guarantee — not a sticker on a bag, but a production philosophy.

The morning energy, the race to get there before they're gone, the satisfaction of walking out with a warm bag — that's the community ritual. It turns a transaction into an event. It turns customers into regulars. And it keeps us honest about never overproducing, never compromising.

Open Wed-Sun, 7am-1pm (or until sellout). Closed Monday and Tuesday.
